Sally Grant

Painter

Sally Grant has studied with Ron Lukas who paints in the style of the Russian Impressionists after his teacher, Sergei Bongart. She has also studied with Dee Ann Lemley and Del Gish, also accomplished students of Bongart.

The style she has followed is characterized by representational work with brilliant color and vigorous brush strokes. Sally paints from life: figure studies, landscapes, and seascapes. She loves painting outdoors concentrating on North West mountains, Victorian homes, gardens, and scenes from the South West. She divides her time between the South West and the Seattle/Bellinham area.

Sally has shown and won awards locally and nationally. Her work is found in collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. She was one of seven artist juried into the annual show of the American Academy of Women Artists.

One of her paintings has been selected for the menu for Northwest Airlines.
